St. George Fun & Las Vegas Eats!

Face in the rock! We finished up the Parade of Homes and it was time to start driving back home. But not without a fun stop in Las Vegas for a late lunch /early dinner.

Fun with our friends Heidi and Andrew who are always chill with us coming to stay a night or two at their house throughout the year.

Chilly morning, not proper footwear but a fun spot to explore.

After breakfast and 1 walk through of a Parade of Homes home, we packed up our car, and Pandy & Hoote, and headed back to Ridgecrest.

But not before stopping on our way through Las Vegas to get our belated Valentine's meal.  Since Ridgecrest doesn't have the food we want, we have to go elsewhere and usually this means continuing our tradition anywhere we can. The tradition is to try a food we have never tried before.  This year we decided to try British Food so I got on Yelp to see what was in the area. We ended up at Cornish Pasty Co. and tried a few different items. Hooray for dining in as well!

Can't decide which shot is better, with extra lighting (left) or regular as-in photo (right). This is the cornish meatballs wrapped in bacon. I did not like these as much as I thought I would.

Garlic and herb roasted potatoes

Another picture with extra lighting on the left, and just a regular picture on the right. Still can't decide. I geuss the extra lighting looks a bit better... The restaurant was so nice to split the main course for us and so what you see here is the lamb and mint pastie with a side of red wine gravy. Overall, it was okay. Slightly bland unless you added the sauce.

This was my favorite part of the whole meal. I am dying over how good it was and how long I made my half last for. Crazy good! Highly recommend. This is the Banofee Pie - graham cracker crust layered with house-made caramel, fresh whipped cream and topped with banana slices.

Whoah.

Mind blown for sure.
