Panguitch Balloon Festival - Saturday

It's quite a long drive to Panguitch, Utah now but this is one of our favorite festivals to go to so we left about 6pm when Tony got off work and I think we got in between 1-2am. Can't quite remember. It was very cold in the night, I always think I bring enough warm clothing only to realize, I don't. 5:45am alarm on the phone came quite fast and we were up and out of the campsite and headed to the field where the balloons would be launching to listen to the pilot briefing and find Judy.

Saturday morning was great weather for flying!

Judy and Pat's reflection as they set up her burner

Tony is tired. I am tired. But it's all so worth it.

Cool bask....no wait. No basket?!

Headed to the campsite...

We camped with this Coleman tent, instant set up. It was good except for the fact that our queen air mattress took up almost the entire floor and the zipper for the front door, around the curved part of the door, is very hard to pull open or closed right there. I was a fan though of how quick and easy the tent popped itself up and no struggling with the tent poles. Score!

Nighttime proved to be too windy for the balloons to inflate so the pilots just did burns from their baskets which meant setting up the basket and burner and doing synchronized all-burns or twinkle burns for the crowd to enjoy.
