Murray Family Farms

Yes, gas is really that price right now in California unfortunately. Anyways! Like the url of the blog, I still love cherries and when I heard the Murray Family Farms was doing a cherry festival on Saturday, we managed to fit it on on our way into Bakersfield.

Kinda creepy! She ate too many blueberries I think...

This family farm has all sorts of fruits and activities for families. I think a lot of it is better done with kids and it was $10-something per adult to access all the area you see out here and with our limited time we decided just to scope out the gift store, buy a piece of pie and some cherries and tell ourselves we would come back another day.

They do have pick-your-own fruit for an additional $5 with the wristbands for the cherry festival. This tiny carton (not very deep at all) was $5 and we did not have to go out and pick the cherries ourselves. I guess you are paying for the experience? They were really good cherries though.

Some fun photo ops at this place before heading on towards Bakersfield...
