Anniversary Weekend First Stop

We decided to leave early (6:15am!) on Saturday morning to head out to San Diego to kick off celebrating our anniversary weekend. Married 7 years this year!  

Belmont Park Experience

 

  Belmont Park was down the street from where we were staying while we were in San Diego so on Saturday night we finally had a chance to go explore! John Spreckels opened the park on July 4, 1925. It's located on the beach and has over a million people that visit it every year.

Part 2 - The San Diego Zoo

It was quite the fun experience to be able to go to the San Diego zoo. We also ended up saving a lot of money by having Tony's aunt and dad in wheelchairs. They got senior discounts and so did Tony's mom but since Tony and I were pushing the wheelchairs, we got in for free. Plus there was a great handicap shuttle bus that helped so we didnt have to push the wheelchairs up any really steep hills. Win-win.

Pandamonium at the San Diego Zoo

 

 Taking a break from the Albuquerque trip to tell you about my first time ever at the San Diego zoo! Since Tony's parents and aunt are in town visiting for about 10 days, San Diego is one of the places they wanted to go. I'll blog about the other places we went in different posts. But for now...it's all about the pandas.
