Teardrop Camper Rebuild Updates

March 2019

This is the month of the teardrop camper meetup! Aiii! We've been making some great progress though on putting our camper together. Check it out!

Getting a the doorS cut. Yes, doors! I am super stoked that we will have two entrances/exits.

Making sure our tubs of supplies will fit. Kitchen item supplies. Spices. Dishes. Utensils. Etc.

Getting going with the wood glue - we want to make this teardrop extra strong!

After the wood glue, Tony put in a good amount of screws to be sure it all stays together

The look fo the inside. Just seeing and making sure things are lining up correctly.

Sanding sanding sanding! These bars will go in-between both walls and the roof will lay on it. We wanted to reuse the old ones but they needed some freshening up so I helped Tony sand these smooth.

We have a door!! Close up details of the door coming soon.

The door lays flat against the frame. In the second picture, you can see the frame that the door rests against when closed. On the last teardrop, this was on the outside and the door would not swing open all the way. However, doing it this way means...the doors can lay flat on each side. Tony is so excited about this, I'm not sure why but I am happy he is happy.

Nice and flush. Just need to add the window(s) which Tony is currently working on scraping off all the old glue on them. Pics of that in the next post.

Not the look we finished with today but you can see how the doors are laying flat. So awesome!
