In the spring I was driving to Utah and listening to the radio when they had a trivia contest so I called in and "won." What I won was a timeshare stay and presentation in Las Vegas. Worked it out and months later - we finally went and had our stay!
I'd never heard of the Jockey Club until the man on the other end of the phone said that was where we would be staying. We could stay at a different hotel but we'd have to pay the difference, or something along those lines. I figured we would give the Jockey Club a shot. It def. is tucked back away from the strip but right in the middle of so many good places to walk around and explore.
I love that everything was decorated up for Christmas. We were in Vegas for New Year's Eve 2016 but I dont recall many Christmas decorations although they probably were still up.
When we arrived we learned we could park on B3. That level is for Jockey Club members only. The other levels belong to the Cosmopolitan hotel. The Jockey Club is so weird to me, there are people that live there full time and people that have time-shares. The time share presentation company was called Sapphire.
Now you see me, now you don't!
The pool area was not very big and there was no hot tub except inside a building connected to a small gym. Jersey Club members can go to the Cosmopolitan to go swimming however, that was interesting to learn. We brought suits to swim/hot tub but we were pretty busy doing other things and I was still trying to get over being sick all week so I wasn't feeling 100% and was pretty exhausted at night after being out and about all day.
We got up to our room, #274 and had to make a couple trips from the car. We could have borrowed a cart but they wanted to see our ID's again and we had left that up in the room so we just carried everything.
Besides the kitchen straight ahead of us when we opened the door, this was our view a little to the left. A whole living room! Even in San Diego when we stayed at the Catamaran, we were just in one big room with beds and kitchen, not 2 rooms where you had doors to separate. It was very nice and felt so clean and open.
Here is the straight ahead view through the kitchen complete with dishwasher, stove, oven and fridge. Love it! Microwave too. I wish we could have stayed for longer, we would have used the kitchen a lot more. We did buy a half seasoned French bread from Smith's and broiled that in the oven on Saturday evening. We used the microwave to heat up leftovers from Cafe Rio and used the fridge for my yogurt (which I sadly forgot to grab on Sunday morning)
The best part to me? Probably the walk in closet! I love a walk in closet!!
The TV in our room across from the bed was small but was fine.
I loved this area, it just looked so cozy and clean!

So, the timeshare presentation Saturday morning was less than stellar. Pretty much the worst one we've ever been to as we have done a few of these in the past years. The guy who gave the main presentation was very energetic and somewhat funny but overall left us with a bad taste in our mouth and not signing up for anything which was awesome for us in the end because we read reviews online afterwards (why not before? I dont know. We know better!) and found so much bad stuff. Anyways. Just another lesson in "if it sounds too good to be true then it probably is."
